Three of their behavioral adaptations are that they crush up millipedes and rub the remains on their back during insect season to work as a natural repelant so that they don't have to deal with bunches of mosquito bites.Many express how they feel when they feel harmed, uncomfortable, or trapped so they might attack you if you don't watch out and respect their space.They also do something that is just a little gross, they drench their hands and feet in their urine so thta they leaave their scent behind. Their diets mainly consist of fruit, insects, leaves, small birds, bird eggs, lizards, water, and juice from fruit, but they also enjoy corn that they sometimes steal from peoples crops.They are Omnivores and onlyleave trees to get something to drink. As babies they have to learn how to feed independantly, when learning, tall trees are out of reach and they have to wait to be carried up by the adult monkeys that have more expirence to get food from taller trees. Capuchin monkey predators are jaguars, coyotes, tarayos,snakes, crocidile, and the jaguarondis, but their main predator is the Harpy Eagle. A five specie food chain includin the Capuchin is: a plant gets eaten by a caterpillar,a caterpillar gets eaten by the Capuchin, and the Capuchin gets eaten by the Harpy Eagle, and the Harpy eagle is eaten by a Lion. Capuchins are part of the hominoid and are related to gibbons,orangutan,african,apes, and hominids.
The way we affect them in a positive way:they can adapt to human colonized areas quickly and the negative ways we affect them:people are using them as street performers to get money, and some keep them as pets, and they adapt to being fed by hand so they can't go back to the wild becaus they will be too weak to live on their own and will get killed because they aren't able to survive in the wild. Interesting facts about them is that it may look like it is smiling but it is really a warning saying to back off cause it feels trapped or uncomfortable so if they attack don't be suprised, because you had it coming. The are carried on their moms back for years after they are born. They go through puberty. As they go through puberty they get more agressive and sometimes in a mean way. They can be easily trained so that is why you see them in plenty of your favorite movies.The reason i think Capuchin monkeys are Extreme animals is because they have the largest brains out of all ne world monkeys and can out smart most of their predators, and travel in large groups of up to 40 monkeys which means they are doing a good job at reproducing.That is why i think Capuchin monkeys are extreme animals.
